MELI continues to dream, and our dreams always come true. It was no less than a dream for us to facilitate the availability of one of the world’s most practical and effective communicative English language series in Afghanistan. We turned this dream into a reality.
How?
We fulfilled this ambition by signing an international agreement with LADO International Institute, USA. This contract is formally registered with the respective government bodies of the United States and Afghanistan.
The Final Result
MELI is now a lifetime legal partner of LADO Institute, USA, and is entitled to implement the LADO English series in its DEL program in Afghanistan.
What does the LADO series offer?
The series offers a wide variety of activities, including effective techniques for conversations, discussions, interactions, study frames, contextualized grammar exercises, listening tasks, interactive games, reading practices, and role-plays to help students learn English efficiently.
The more controlled, structured exercises help to focus the student’s attention on learning the grammatical rules of English, whereas the freer, more open-ended activities offer ways of improving language skills through creative and spontaneous interactions.

The Communicative English Series by LADO International Institute is a globally accredited and recognized course. The materials and lessons in the series are primarily based on the principles of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and activity-based English learning system. LADO Communicative English Series takes a balanced Total Approach to teaching and learning.

What is the background of LADO International Institute?
LADO International Institute was incorporated in the State of Maryland, USA, in 1983 and is one of the most highly recognized educational institutions in the world today for teaching English to non-native speakers.
Books in the Series
The series includes nine books for the DEL, designed by global experts to meet international standards and each book is written keeping in view the special needs and requirements of ESL/EFL learners.
Table 1 provides brief information about the books in the series.
Students Book
The student books contain the syllabus; complete unit-by-unit lessons. It features warm-up activities at the beginning of each unit which elicits discussion and prepares students for the theme of the conversation.
Work Book
The workbook exercises correspond to and complement the material covered in the Student Books. The workbooks offer additional practices to help the students master the material in each unit, where students can maintain a particular focus on vocabulary, reading, and writing. In the latest edition, controlled compositions appear in all nine workbooks.
Student Appendix
LADO Communicative Series also contains an
appendix section at the end of the workbooks. The pages in the appendix can be
cut and put together by students to create more interactive content
